Here's how to make your travel tax deductible. It's pretty simple.

If the purpose of the trip is for business, that means that things like airfare, hotels and meals while on that trip become deductible.

So if you work with friends or family members, this is a great way to make those trips deductible!

And if you don't work with friends or family and are going on a business trip you should know that not the whole trip has to be business related. You can still spend some time doing personal things and still take the deduction.

Lastly, make sure you keep track of what you're spending either in Quickbooks or an excel file so that at tax time we know what to write off.
